I have two grandsons whom are ages 5 1/2 yrs and 3yrs old. They are the absolute light of my life..I spend as much time wtih them as i can...I have two children my daughter is 26 and my son is 24. My son Aaaron lives in Lincoln, NE and atttends college. My daughter lives in York and works as a Medical Assistant. I am fortunate enough to have her and my grandsons here in the same town near me...Family is very important to us.
A couple of years ago i Worked at a Nursing Home as a Housekeeper. I had the pleasure of having the unskilled hall so to speak. meaning the residents could come and go as they pleased just needed some help with their medications and such. It was the best 2yrs of my last 10yrs. I had 16 sets of grandparents of which i loved everyone of them. I enjoyed doing the little things that made them happy. There was NEVER a single thing they would ask of me that i wouldnt do for them. I made it my goal to go above and beyond for each of them.
Such as take down to activities, and return them afterwards, or take them outside for a walk, or take them ice cream. I had one particular lady that had a certain place for her certain pieces of laundry (quite finicky you might say :) ) and if it wasnt the way she wanted it her whole day was ruined so i made sure and went in her room every morning when i arrived at work to make sure shed have a good day..
I hope I can build new memories like these with you and your family...
